Mr. Lou D. Sweet,
Auditorium Hotel,
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Sir:

Your favor of 15th inst. is received, and I am glad to know that the coupler is progressing so satisfactorily, also that Mr. Moffat has taken an interest with you. It so happens that I have no personal acquaintance with Mr. Van Horne, but Mr. Joseph Taylor, our Secretary, knows him quite well and he has written a letter of introduction, which I take pleasure in inclosing herewith.

Wishing you every success, I remain,

Yours very truly,
C.L. Freer
