Complaints have been made at this Office by Freedmen that a great many planters of Robertson and Burleson counties, formly residents of the State of Louisiana sell their crops and are leaving the State without paying the Freedmen for their labor, therefore Mr. Jno. D. Imboden will at once proceed to the above named counties for the purpose of investigating the matter, and if he finds that these Reports are true, he will at once stop the sale of all produce raised this year, until the Freedmen are paid a just compensation for their labor.

If Mr. Imboden should need a guard to carry out the above order he will apply at the nearest Military Post for assistance, showing this Order to the Commanding Officer of the Post to which he may apply.

Officers in this district will please lend Mr Imboden such assistance as he may need 

Mr Imboden will report in writing at this Office at the earliest moment practicable all action taken by him
