I have the honor to forward my Reports for the month of October.  I would have done so sooner, but had to go to Richmond on business connected with this Bureau. I do not know whether this reports will meet with your approbation, if not, please return them, with instructions how they are to be made and I will comply at once.  I have ridden over the Southern part of the Dist. and judging from appearances Planters seem to be willing to deal fair with the free people imployed by them, but as I remarked to you some time ago, a great many of these Planters are treacherous and will bear watching

I have heard of outrages being committed in Robertson, Burleson & Leon Counties
