Dear Freer:-
Your favor received enclosing check as per receipted voucher herewith enclosed. Accept thanks for the remittance.
Your congratulations and approval of results of the Chinese Exhibition are very gratifying to me. I am planning and hoping to make the business as you suggest, a very important feature of my work.
The pastel by Dewing and the water-color by Winslow Homer are safely received: I will at once have them put in hand for re-framing
Am thankful to hear of your continued improvement in health. I shall look forward to the time when I can come out there.

Sincerely yours
NE Montross
