Hard, dense, gray paste. 
Rich, dark blue, olive and fire-red glass covers entire surface and flows very heavily in certain places, especially around basal ring; uncrackled. 
Across on bottom show metallic iridescence. 
Earthworm marks in inner base. Twelve small spur marks and the Chinese character 9 appears within the basal ring. 
Height, 2 3/8". Diameter, 7". 
Teakwood stand & box. 
Purchased from Tu Ge Chung, Peking, while on trip during 1910/11, Journal Voucher #1 December, 1911, for Mex. $1,600, plus customs, frt., &c., 800.00

Light green glaze with dark mottling; finely crackled. The foot and lower section of the jar is unglazed. Height, 9 3/8". 
Found at Pung-chang, about 60 1i northeast of Chong-te Fu, in the Province of Chi-li. 
Purchased while on trip during 1910/11, in China, Journal Voucher 1 December 1911, for Mex. $10, plus customs, frt., &c., 5.00

Course, buff paste. 
Light blue glaze, with one purple and green spot on inner side extending upward to rim. 
During the firing of this piece, the base of the sagger gave way and the bowl dropped, falling to a lower level within the sagger which still clings. Height of sagger, 5 1/3". Diameter, 9 3/4". 
Purchased from Pong, while on trip during 1910/11, Journal Voucher #1 December, 1911, together with List No's 2116 and 2117, for Mex. $90., (the cost of this piece being included in the two pieces referred to), and on Mr. Frear's return to Detroit presented to Mr. F. G. Macomber, Boston, Mass.,
