Probably Twenty five at each Place

11. Amount which would probably be raised by the Freedmen, for school purposes, in each destitute neighborhood? it is impossible to mane any exact estimate or even a correct appropriation; probably for a short time, five dollars per month may be obtained at each place

12. What efforts are you making to secure the support of schools by pupils, parents, boards of education, or the State government?  I have endeavored to call & hold educational meetings but have been unable to get the freedmen to take any decided steps in the matter 

13. Whole number of additional School-houses, for Freedmen, now wanted in your Sub-District? One at Morgan and One at Starksville; at Dawson a Church is used belonging to the freedmen but it is in bad repairs

14. Could you organize your Sub-District into School Districts, each with a School Committee pledged to carry on schools therein?  I can; the freedmen can not be relied on to fulfill their pledges 

15. To what extent would help from without be needed in such cases? Ten to fifteen dollars Per Month would I think sustain them

16. What is the public sentiment as to the education of the Freedmen and Poor Whites? A few of the best citizens favor the education of the freed people but it is impossible to get any of them to move first in the matter the more illiterate class are opposed generally to their Education 

17. Are Night-Schools for Adults needed in your District? 
In what way could they be carried on?  I think the freedmen could Support such a School; could they be induced to take an interest in the matter, organize school boards &c but I have not been able to awaken a sufficient interest among them as yet

18. What more can this Bureau do for educating the children of Refugees (or Poor Whites)?  Build or purchase buildings adapted to School purposes and provide competent teachers for each School

19. How long will Northern charitable aid be needed for Freedmen and Refugee Schools of your District?  Probably for an indefinite length of time; certainly until the state provides free schools for freed people & poor whites
