Dear Bill:

Sorry to lay a heavy trip on you, but here's the nitty-gritty:

Unless someone, friends of Frank Rowe, Rowe himself, or whomever, comes up w/ 50 bucks rent money by Friday, the Rowe show is off and Nanny Goat Hill Gallery is closed. In any event, the Rowe show if it comes off, dependent on payment of $50 rent to a new landlord, will be the last show at Nanny Goat Hill and the announcements reviews and whatever will go into the Mark Green collection, Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.

In any event I will have to know one way or another by Thursday nite, so I can tell Rowe the bad news if that's the way you friends of his are going to play it.

Anyway that's how the gallery ends to coin an old cliche--not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Sincerely,

Prevail,

Mark Green
