The "Friends" had, with the consent of the Authorities at Norfolk, a warehouse, where goods were sold to the Freedmen at cost, and the proceeds reinvested in goods for them. More than a year ago we aided them in passing duty free some goods from England, and also in getting free transportation. I have just seen one of their committee, who says, He knows nothing of Mr. Pride or of any such lot of Hoes, as the one inquired about.
