I have the honor to apply for the position of Asst. Supt. in the Bureau of R.,F., and A.L., for Warwick Co. Va. which will be vacant as Capt. C.H. Warrens is ordered to join his Regiment.
I am a native of Pennsylvania, and have been living at this place about eighteen months, ten months of which time I have been Post Surgeon, and also Acting Asst. Supt. after Lieut. Robinson was mustered out of the service (last November) until Capt Warrens was assigned last February, therefore I am acquainted with the routine of the office and people both white and colored.
