Washington, July 7th 1866. 

Arthur Lambkin "Col'd" an orphan aged 7 yrs "in Aug." was bound to one Dr. Andrew Henderson of Northumberland Co. V.a. "near Heathville C.H." The indentures were made about two weeks after Christmas by one Capt. Frye then on duty at the C.H. This boy has been with his uncle Sam'l Blackburn "Cold" for six years. Mr Blackburn is abundantly able to care for the boy and anxious so to do. The boy was bound without the consent of any of his relatives or friends. Saml Blackburn lives near Dr. Henderson in Northumberland Co. Va.
