Freedmens Bureau for Virginia.
I have the honor to state that I have received Par 16. Extract. S.O. No. 623. A.G.O. Washington, Nov 30th 1865. Ordering me to report to you for duty in the Freedmens Bureau. And that I am delayed from so reporting, by reason of being subpaened as a witness on a Court Martial now sitting in this city, owing to some delay in the conveneing of the court. My testimony has not been taken as yet, I expect to be able to report to you on Monday. 11th. Inst, I shall make no delay.
