Virginia, In Amelia County Court 25th January 1866

This Court having been informed that complaint has been made before the authorities at Richmond against the Freedmen's Court of this County, doth order that in the opinion of the Court the Provost Marshall and his Court in the County of Amelia have so acted in the discharge of their duties as to advance the interest of the colored freedman and whites of this county. In evidence of which we adduce the fact that no criminal contest [[strikethrough]] that no criminal [[/strikethrough]] has arisen between the two races and that general order exists in the County; and the Court doth further order that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the record of this, and certified to the President of the Freedmens Court.

A Copy.
