And further at your request, I make a statement of the physical condition of Doct. J. C. Perry at this time. I have been prescribing for Doct. Perry for some time. He has a engorgement of the Liver producing a diseased condition of the Secretory and Nervous Systems, he is suffering at present with a most perfuse Haematurin amounting to about ten or fifteen ounces of blood (in twenty four hours) also with violent periodical attacks of a Neuralgia of the Testicles producing Vomiting to almost perfect exhaustion. Congestion and Neuralgia have so affected his head and eyes that for more than a year he has I am scarcely able to distinguish one object from another at very short distances.

The result of this combination of diseases is the reduction of a Very Stout and healthy man of 220 pounds weight to 135 pounds, making him almost an emaciate. He is unable at this time to leave his house and has been confined to his house and yard almost entirely for the last 8 or 9 months.
Very Respectfully Yrs, &c
Robt. T. Lewis
