Sir:
In addition to my report of yesterday I have the honor to say that the party Richard Bibb Jr was arrested yesterday and brought before the three Magistrates who issued the warrant. In as much, however, as the complainant John Bibb (Freedman) had not been notified of the time and place of hearing, and as there was a disposition upon the part of the Magistrates to allow Richard Bibb Jr to introduce testimony to show cause why he should not give bail, I intimated to them that I would not consider it a proper hearing, nor think it my duty to attend. Upon this representation the [[strikethrough]]trial[[/strikethrough]] Case was continued until Saturday next at 12 oclock, and the Sheriff instructed to notify John Bibb (Freedman) of the same.
