Sir -
I have the honor to submit for your information the following statement in relation to a difficulty that occurred between Dr. Schands of this Co and an employee named Junius Johnson. I was not informed of the trial and of course did not attend, I gather these facts from the wife of Johnson and the constable who arrested him. Dr. Schands does not allow his labours to go upon any part of the farm except where they work and requires them to go off of it by the nearest way. Johnson had been away to get some work, and when on the return stopped at Dr. Schand's house to tell a man who was to work with him, when they were to commence {{crossout}}go to{{/crossout}} work. He had said good morning and was about to tell him when Dr. Schands ordered him to leave, saying they had "no use" for him
