and settled in full the fifty-dollars, due Mr Crockett L Pierce, and had the Horse restored to him. He failed however to call at my office, although notified that I would require his presence — and since then, I have been unable to communicate with him. On this date I received information, that immediately after securing his Horse, he had absconded to parts unknown, covered with debts and fleeing from justice.
