King and Queen County, to wit.

This day Thomas H. Jeffries of the County aforesaid personally appeared before me a justice of the peace for the said County and made oath that he is now and has been for many years the Committee of one Joseph Eubank an Idiot, that on about the 1st day of January 185 the negroes belonging to the said Joseph Eubank, [[crossed out]] were sold under a decree of the [[crossed out]] County Court [[/crossed out]] Circuit Court for King and Queen County and among them was a negro [[crossed out]] [illegible] [[/crossed out]] woman by the name of Mary Ann and her infant child John Randall and Mr. James A Goalder became the purchaser of the said woman and her child, that at the time the said woman was sold and for several years previous she had for her husband a man who called himself at that time John Fleet and was owned then and since up to the fall of Richmond by the Revd. Isaac Diggs, that from his knowledge of the whole case and circumstances connected with the birth of the said boy John Randall he believes that he was fourteen (14) years of age in the month of October last
