Norfolk City Alms House

I am instructed by the Committee on Alms House, to make application for transportation for Dove Crowley.  The Crowley family followed Genl Shermans Army to Wilmington, and from thence were brought to this place. Mr Crowley, wife, and Three children, died in a few weeks after their admission into the Alms House, Levi Crowley died last summer. Sally, an infant of three years, has been placed in the Jackson Asylum, Dove, desires to return to his home in Darlington dis, South Carolina, to look after his Fathers property.
