Mr. Hall seemed to be incensed against Colored people and Yankees, and would often say "do you know what we do with you! we kill you here"  The Food of the jail consists of Roasted Rye and Meal for Coffee, Potatoe Soup, Peas and Corn Bread. we rec'd two small meals a day that could not be worth Twenty five cents.
