I, Job A Talmage,  do solemnly swear in the presence of Almighty God that I will henceforth faithfully support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Union of the States thereunder. and that I will in like manner abide by and faithfully support all laws and proclamations which have been made during the existing rebellion with reference to the emancipation of slaves so help me God.

I, WILLIAM MCCARTY, Clerk of the County of Morris, do hereby certify that Samuel S Halsey Esq., before whom the foregoing affidavit was taken, was, at the time of taking such affidavit, one of the Notary Publics in and for said County of Morris, duly commissioned and sworn, and fully authorized by the laws of the State of New Jersey to take the same, and that the name of the said Notary thereunto signed, is in his own proper hand writing.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said County, at Morristown, this Nineteenth day of March 1866
