Mr. Tozo Takayanagi,
160 Fifth Ave., New York.

My dear Mr. Takayanagi,

I have your letter of the 5th inst. and note that your friend declines my bid for the two pieces of pottery. They were both very interesting pieces and at the price offered I would have been glad to have bought them, but I think any higher figures would be really unreasonable. I am pleased to state that the other three pieces came safely and give me great pleasure. Inclosed herewith please find craft the New York, payable to your order for $175.00 in payment therefor. Kindly receipt and return the inclosed voucher at your early conveniences.

With personal regards, I remain,

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer

I am glad to say I am feeling better than when we talked Last.
