Mr. S. Ishida,

4247 Indiana Ave.,

Chicago, Ill.

Dear Sir:

Your letter of 16th January is at hand, also the parcel of tea has been safely received. I am glad to have both and thank you for having brought the package so far. Mr. Sano is a particular friend of mine and this remembrance from him is most welcome.

I regret that you have not found it possible to visit Detroit. If you are to be in this country much longer, you may find it convenient to come to our city, and should you do so, I hope you will not fail to call upon me. When you write Mr. Sano, be good enough to give him my kindest remembrances, and when you see him next, kindly repeat them and thank him in person for his gift to me.

Yours truly,
Charles L. Freer
