March 19/98.

My dear Mr. Griffith:
Replying to your letter of 17th inst., at the present moment I do not think of any picture in my little group that I could spare for the exhibition at Omaha, but I will think it over more fully to-morrow, after which you will hear from me further.
I am very pleased that the leading artists are responding favorably to your invitation to exhibit their work. The plan to purchase rather thank give medals and prizes seems to me a good one and a scheme that might be followed with advantage by other exhibitions.
I hope to see you some day next week and have a chat with you about several matters I have in mind.
Yours truly,
Charles L Freer
