desire is a duplicate of the one I have marked in the book "No. 4". It is a river scene with a large willow tree in the foreground and a full moon in the sky. Will you look through those I saw that day, and if you find this particular print, send it on to me, as I would like to add it to my lot.

Regarding the "Whirlpools", I would consider it a special favor if you would send me on all the impressions you have. As you know, with me everything depends on color, and the more I look at the one I now have the more I feel that the one I really prefer must still be with you.

Have you a duplicate of this print? If so, will you kindly send it on approval together with the "Whirlpools" mentioned.

The remainder of the prints will be lent you in care of the Lincoln Safe Deposit Co., express charges prepaid, from [[??]. I have had the opportunity to examine these prints so carefully, I hope that you will find [[??]]

The gentleman I spoke of [[??]] I [[??]]
