Mr. A. J. Pinkin
Gen'l Mg'r, Schenectady Locomotive Works
Schenectady, N.Y.

Dear Mr. Pinkin:
I have to-day enjoyed the pleasure of a visit from Messrs. Stanholpe de Leopold and Louis Yamanaka of the car and locomotion manufacturing coppers of St. Petersburg, Russia. These gentlemen came to me with introductions from eastern friends, and they bear with them recommendations from Prince Milkoff and others in Russia.

They are going from here to Buffalo, and then to Schenectady to visit you and are leaving this country about the 25th inst. They have already visited the Baldwin works, Carnegie's plant, and other leading manufacturing institutions. I hope you will find it convenient to show them your plant and doubt not that you will enjoy their acquaintance. They are trained, intelligent, and experienced engineers, and I will appreciate any courtesies you may extend to them.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
