March 14th, 1899.

Mr. O. W. Meysenburg,
Care Wells and French Company, Chicago, Ills.

My dear Mr. Meysenburg:-

Confirming our conversation by telephone of this morning I beg to say that in my opinion I believe it will be impossible for the Trust Company's attorneys to pass upon all the necessary legal documents in time to make settlement earlier than say Wednesday of next week, and as soon as I arrive in New York, which in no event will be later than Monday next, I will wire you definitely what day the constituent companies will receive settlement for their plants.

yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
