Mr. T. N. Ely,
General Office, Penn'a R.R.
Broad Street Station, Philadelphia, Pa.

My dear Mr. Ely:-

Accept my sincerest thanks for your suggestions and card of introduction to Mr. Abbot. I shall certainly take pleasure in presenting the same after my arrival in Rome.

Yes, Italy is a delightful country to visit and I look forward with eager delight to the pleasures awaiting me there. I am planning to leave Detroit on Wednesday of next week, which however may be possibly postponed to Thursday. In any event, I shall be at the Waldorf on Friday the 5th and sail the following morning. Should you be in New York at that time I hope for the pleasure of seeing you.

I shall write you again to-morrow, and in the meantime, with kindest regards, I remain,

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
