Dear Sir:-

Referring to the conversation had with you yesterday and the vouchers of the Michigan-Peninsular Car Company amounting to $5171.75, which you then receipted. You will please charge to Commission Account $4.250.00 as then discussed. The balance, amounting to $921.75. I am remitting to you herewith enclosed by draft on Chicago, receipt of which please acknowledge, and deposit the same with the American Trust and Savings Bank. 

I have explained this transaction in full to Mr. Potter and he approves of this method of settling up this account, with which you are entirely familiar.
