J.W.C.2.

There, to say nothing of your failure to call upon me. When I return from Europe next fall I shall probably spend considerable time at Sheffield, and it will then afford me pleasure to carefully talk over anything you wish to speak with me about.

I do not quite understand why settlement for the Royce land has not yet been made. Mr. Collins advised me some time ago that the legal documents were ready for execution and you have had the funds in your possession some weeks. You told me when last we met that Mrs. Royce was very desirous of getting her money. Will you not kindly send her word to call upon you for the same and have her sign such papers as Mr. Collins has prepared, after which send the papers to me at Detroit.

At your early convenience I wish you would render me a statement, referred to in one of my letters some time ago, that is, show first the contracts made by you for buildings etc at the farm, giving the name of the contractor, the work he was to perform, the amount agreed upon for the work, also the payments thus far made on the same next, show the amount of money received, when, and from whom; next show disbursements made to date, giving dates and names of parties to whom it was paid. It is necessary to have such a statement filed with the executor.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
