May 2nd,1899.

Mr. Francis T. Morton,
Care Youngs Hotel, Boston, Mass.

Dear Sir:-

Permit me to thank you for your favor of the 30th ultimo and your telegram of yesterday, quoting price of eight thousand dollars for the loose blocks and quarry rubbish at your quarry in Berkshire County.

The price you named is so very much greater than I had expected it would be that I must decline it, and inasmuch as I shall be absent all summer, I will not take any further action on the matter until my return home next fall.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
