Detroit, Mich., August 22nd, 1899.

Mr. J. R. Gest,
Ass't Director, Cincinnati Museum Association,
Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dear Sir:-

On my return to Detroit yesterday from a four months absence I found your favor of the 11th July advising me that you had shipped to me by express the painting by Tryon, which I loaned to you for exhibition. I am pleased to advise you that the painting reached home in fine condition and I thank you for the kind attention you have given it.

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer
