My dear Mr.Truesdale:-

Mr.William F. Jarvis of this city an old time friend of mine, is in New York engaged in making tests of an electrical invention, which promises to be of great value in the operation of railroads. The testing is now being conducted at Columbia College, but it is Mr.Jarvis' intention to remove his place of operation to some building down town near Trinity Church, in order that a few gentlemen with offices in that vicinity may have a convenient place to privately witness the demonstrations.
