native Chianti is excellent.

There are of course many interesting cities in Italy which I have not mentioned, such as Perugia and Pisa. Baedecker's Guide Book describes them all and a careful perusal thereof will give you an excellent idea of what they are like. English is spoke at the principal hotels in all the large cities, also in all the large museums and in a number of the great cathedrals. Should you visit many of the smaller towns, however, you will find an interpreter or courier of great assistance.

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer

To, William H. Wells, Esq.,
Detroit, Michigan.

P.S.
While at Capri, drive to Anacapri and from there ascend Monte Salaro. Don't fail to walk to Villa de Tiberio from your hotel. The Quissisanna is the best hotel on the Island - it is located in the upper town.

The Villa owned by Tom Jareris and me is called the Villa Hamilton. Mr. Coleman has charge of it and will be glad to show you through should you care to see it.

When in the Uffizi at Florence have a look for me at Botticelli's Judith.

While at Rome visit the La Farnesina and see Raphael's decorations also go to the Doris Pamphilj and see the Velasquez portrait.
