Mr. Wm. A. Field,
Care of The Northwestern Wire Mattress Co.,
Kenosha, Wis.

My dear Sir:-

I have your esteemed favor of the 17th inst., enclosing your check for $540.00, in payment of interest as named, and thank you for the same.

In accordance with your request, I wrote to Mr. Jno. W. Dickinson of Boston concerning the stock of the Safety Deposit Co., but his reply was so unsatisfactory, I thought it wise to make no answer to his letter.

I am convinced that it would be unwise for me to attempt to dispose of the collaterals attached to your note, as I believe that you can handle the matter much better than I can. I am, therefore, forced to ask you to retire your note as soon as you can, and make such disposal of the collaterals as you deem best.

Let me congratulate you upon the happiness you are looking forward to. May I inquire the name of the fortunate young lady?

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
