Mr. Alfred H. Granger,
Woodleigh, Lake Forest, III.

My dear Mr. Granger:-
Your kind invitation of January 27th reached me in New York too late for my acceptance, and I wired you my regrets, but at that moment was without an opportunity to confirm my letter. It would have given me great pleasure, indeed, to have attended the opening of you Caxton Club Exhibition of Whister print, and to have visited yourself and Mrs. Granger at Lake Forest.

Assuring you of my appreciation of your kindness, and hoping to have the pleasure of meeting you both erelong, I am
Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer
