PERSONAL.

Mr. W. K. Bixby,
Houser Building,
St. Louis, Mo.

My dear Mr. Bixby:-

I have your letter of the 23rd instant, and note same fully. Mr. Smyser spent last Saturday with me here, and I think the result will be one or two very important changes in his plan, which will reach you in due season. I have been laid up in the house about ten days, but hope to get out again the latter part of this week. As soon as possible I hope to meet with both yourself and Mr. McMillan. Should any enquiries from the Wabash reach us we will be very pleased indeed to communicate with you.

Permit me to extend most cordial holiday greetings, together with best wishes for a very happy and prosperous year during 1899.

Very truly yours,
Charles L Freer
