Mr. N. E. Montross,
1380 Broadway, New York City.

My dear Montross:-

Your letter dated December 23rd but postmarked December 30th,2:30 p.m., reached me yesterday. I fancy you carried the communication in your pocket for a week before mailing it, or perhaps you were off again on some vacation, permitting business to care for itself, as I have learned is your frequent practice.

I hadn't learned before of the alterations mentioned in your gallery and I have no doubt the result will be very satisfactory. For the first exhibition I am entirely willing to loan you the "Rising Moon" and if you will let me know the latest day to send it, I will be glad to see that it gets to you.

Wishing you a happy and very prosperous year, I remain,

Yours truly,
Charles L Freer
