I have just learned that Maj. Stickney was injured on his way to Yorktown day before yesterday. - near Yorktown.  I have just telegraphed you Mr. Churchill's Statement.  It was that he was thrown from the carriage & considerably bruised, but no bones broken.  He is well cared for & doing well.

Mr. Churchill is directed to do all in his power for him & report every day.
