Fort Monroe Jan. 11/66. Col. O. Brown Asst. Com. - Colonel I have just learned that Maj. Stickney was injured on his way to Yorktown day before yesterday. - near Yorktown. I have just telegraphed you Mr. Churchill's Statement. It was that he was thrown from the carriage & considerably bruised, but no bones broken. He is well cared for & doing well. Mr. Churchill is directed to do all in his power for him & report every day. I am Col. Very Respectfully Your Obt Servt, C.B. Wilder Capt & A.Q.M. We have been through a terrible scene of distress & suffering the first 3 or 4 days.
