I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 19th inst. relative to the case of Harry Davis (colored).
I have no knowledge, of the above case, or what is required, The letters referred to in your communication have not been received, but I am ready to act, as soon as I know what to do, We have had no agent in that county for over two months, Lieut. J. H. Tunks, started for that ground this morning and will attend to this case as soon as it is placed in his hands.
