Miles with the information that Mr. Churchill is a gentleman of irreproachable character and integrity, and among those who know him best he occupies a high position both for intelligence and morality. Mr. Churchill is an agent of this Bureau, and I respectfully appeal to the Maj. Genl Comdg to protect the Bureau and its agents from such insults as "lies" "scoundrels" etc. from officers acting under his orders.
