Respectfully referred to Capt John O. Dwyer Asst Supt. Carolina Co. who will visit the place of Mr. O.D. Harris and ascertain the prospects of establishing a good school there.

Respectfully returned to Maj Genl J.M. Schofield Asst Com'r State of Va with the following report. 

In accordance with instructions I visited the place of Mr. O.D. Harris. I think that the prospects of establishing a school there are good. Already about 90 names are entered for a Sunday school, and some sixty, will attend Day school. Mr O.D.

Harris seems to be very energetic, and deeply interested in the improvement of the Freedmen.
