I have the honor to request that leave of Absence for thirty days be granted me for the purpose of visiting my Wife who is ill at her home in Pensylvania,  I Should not ask for So long a leave but, that it will require five days travel to reach home, & I have not had leave of Abscence for two years, I have had but twenty Seven days leave Since entering the Army almost five years ago
