Hampton Va, Feb 5th 1867.
States that before Xmas he with others applied for transportation to Archer Station, Fla., has often been advised by officers of Bureau to go there and has been promised transportation. Now asks whether transportation is to be allowed - the delay subjecting all the applicants to great loss.

Forwarded to War Dept &c Feb 8./67 stating that previous application was forwarded Jany 21st 1867 - Suggests that delay in procuring transportation from Freedmen from the Peninsula will result in serious injury.

Received back Feb 11th 1867. Stating that the previous application, returned to Asst. Comr Decr. 25th 1866, had not been received back-

Returned to Genl Howard 21st Feb. inviting attention to affidavit enclosed in communication of Genl Armstrong forward 21st Jany. and hoping that resent orders relative to transportation from the Penisula will allow the transportation herein requested - The names of the Freedmen who wish to go are as follows. viz: -
