Accomack C.H.

Capt. Garrick Mallory,
Dear Sir,
I enclose certain papers for your consideration, which will explain themselves. When I filed the petition for Mr Crump in the office here, I desired that they should be considered and passed upon by you. It appears however from the endorsements that they have not reached your hands, but have been returned by the agent, S.C. Armstrong, and I therefore forward them to you directly, hoping that you will give me a response as early as the duties of your office will permit. It appears to me that General orders, No. 19, can have no application to a case of this sort. This house and lot have never been abandoned and have been placed upon the records of the office of R.F. and A.L. here by a mistake, or by some one who was ignorant of his business. But if they can in any sense be considered as abandoned, then I claim that the certificate of the U.S. Tax Commissioners, shows that General Orders No 19, has been substantially complied with. Because
1st It shows that the Petitioner has always been a loyal citizen of the U. States, and therefore no special pardon by the President, and no oath of amnesty can be required of her.
