"Amnesty Oath"
I William H. Curtis Personal Representative of Susan Dye decd. do solemnly swear in the presence of Almighty God that I will herein forth faithfully support protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Union of the States thereunder And thus I will in like manner faithfully abide by and support all laws and proclamations made during the late rebellion with reference to the emancipation of slaves "So help me God"

I William R. Willis a Notary Public for this County aforesaid in the State of Virginia do certify that William H. Curtis, Personal Representative of Susan Dye decd personally appeared before me in my County aforesaid and made oath in due form of law that he is not nor are any of the heirs as law of Susan Dye decd. embraced in any of the exemption contained in the President's Proclamation of May 29th 1865.
