Sir.

It is with very great pleasure that I acknowledge having received on Friday last the Box Containing 15 days rations for Watson Minor Col'd which have been delivered to his orphan children and "Laureu Dickinson" Col'd who is aged 87 years. & is blind; and who occupied the Same House with Watson Minor,
Watson died on Friday Night and was decently buried at my expense on yesterday. I am most respectfully Yr Obt Servt H.V. Graves

I should be greatly obliged to you if you will place the enclosed note in the hands of Col. O. Brown. Commissioner &C.&c.
