Major,
I have the honor to inform you that Francis Amos a colored woman made complaint to me that William Wallace a white man (both parties citizens of Richmond Co) attacked her with a swingletree and beat her over the head with it
I immediately addressed a note to Daniel Garland a Magistrate of Richmond County informing him of this outrage and requesting him to issue a warrant
