General,
I have the honor to hereby make application for authority to rent the building known as the Baptist Church on the corner of Hanover and Water Streets. city of Fredericksburg, Va. for the purpose of holding a day school for colored children.
The building is occupied by the Baptist Congregation (colored) and authority has been given by the Trustees of said Church to thier Treasurer Phelan Grant to rent said Church for school purposes for the sum of Twenty Dolls ($20) per month.
The building or church contains one room 43 by 47 feet. and is heated by Stoves.
