Asst Comr Reports a case in which a freedman named Hudson or Hutchison was struck in the temple by a Pine stick in the hands of one Tallaiferro (both of Caroline Co) on 26th ultimo from the effects of which Hudson died next day at about 9 a.m. [[stamp]] STATE OF VIRGINIA.
