Reports cases tried as Mil Comm in which colored persons were parties, during November 1867, viz Emma (cold) vs Jas B Reed for ill treatment and severity and Silas Hite (cold) vs John Williams for assault and beating, all of Brunswick Co. In the former case he imposed a fine of $15 and in the latter bound defendant in the sum of $200 to keep the peace
